SFU Dance Marathon 2016 busts a move for the kids

DH Vancouver Staff Feb 17, 2016 4:43 pm

There are plenty of ways to help the community, but unlike the SFU Dance Marathon, not many of them involve dancing for 10 hours straight.

Now in its third year, the SFU Dance Marathon has raised $29,391.30 to date in support of the BC Children’s Hospital. Throughout 2015 money has been raised at a variety of fundraisers, donations, and university socials, and it all comes to a head this Saturday. This year the event’s organizers hopes to raise $25,000 in the biggest dance marathon yet.

There will be food, drinks, and music, music, music at this must-see event. Dancers will be accompanied by performances from local acts, including DJ Zied, the Iranian Club, the SFU Dance Team, and SFU faculty member Dr. John Driver.

To find out how you can get involved visit the SFU Dance Marathon website.
