Studying for an MBA at Simon Fraser University’s Beedie School of Business goes beyond the standard lectures and textbooks most students expect. Through a combination of industry partnerships and an experiential learning approach, the School prides itself on preparing its students to hit the ground running in their careers.
Now anyone who has ever considered studying for an MBA can test out the program for a day at the second annual SFU Beedie MBA 101. Attendees will learn about the Beedie School of Business’ wide range of MBA programs from professors, students and graduates. They’ll also have the opportunity to participate in a career development seminar and alumni Q&A session.
Held at downtown Vancouver’s spectacular Segal Graduate School of Business on March 19, staff will be on hand to answer any of your questions throughout the day that you may have – from the application process, to funding, to the different industries our graduates forge successful careers in.
SFU Beedie MBA 101 will offer information on all of the school’s world-class MBA programs: the part-time MBA taught at SFU’s award winning Surrey campus; the full-time, one-year MBA; the Management of Technology MBA; and the Executive MBA. Wherever you are in your career, the Beedie School of Business has a program designed to suit your needs.
Attendees will also experience a sample MBA lecture delivered by Beedie Associate Dean Ian McCarthy, ranked one of the Top 50 most influential academics on Twitter for the past three years.
In his lecture, “Entrepreneurship and the process of experimenting, learning, and reshaping,” Professor McCarthy will draw on some of his own acclaimed research in entrepreneurship and innovation – a key learning component in all of the Beedie MBA programs.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to find out everything you’ve ever wanted to know about the SFU MBA.
