According to CKNW, the Vancouver Police Department is reporting another sexual assault near UBC this morning.

Police have confirmed a 30 year-old woman was sexually assaulted while jogging near West 16th Avenue and Discovery at 6 a.m. Thursday morning. The suspect allegedly grabbed her and threw her to the ground where she was then sexually assaulted. The woman was able to scream and fight her attacker off, receiving minor injuries in the process.

Police searched the area along with the K-9 unit, but no arrests have been made.

News1130 reports that police say it is too early in the investigation to link this attack to previous attacks on the UBC campus, including one last week that ended in the arrest of a 27 year-old student.

Anyone with information, or who may have seen something suspicious, is asked to contact the Vancouver Police Sex Crimes Unit at 604-717-0600 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
