VPD investigating after two seniors found dead inside Kitsilano home

Vancouver Police are investigating after a man and woman in their 70s were both found dead inside a Kitsilano home on Monday.

Just after 5 pm, police were called to a home near Granville Street and West 5th Avenue.

When they arrived at the residence, officers found the body of a 77-year-old woman and a 79-year-old man inside.

Police said the deaths are being treated as suspicious, but noted that they don’t believe there is any risk to the public.

There is no evidence as of yet, police said, that suggests “anyone else was involved in this incident.”

Based on the information collected thus far, investigators believe the couple died together in their apartment.

The investigation is continuing and police are not offering any further information at this point in time.
