More than 1,000 people are expected to take part in a festive-focused fun run on Saturday, December 3 with the goal of helping the less fortunate in the community.
The 2016 Santa Shuffle 5 km fun run and 1 km Elf Walk takes place at 10 am in Stanley Park, beginning at Lumberman’s Arch.
The coast-to-coast event takes place in 42 cities and raises money for the Salvation Army.
After the race, participants receive a free chili lunch, and there will be prizes and music.
Last year, The Salvation Army’s programs and services helped over 1.9 million people.
