FEATURED ON THE LISTED GUIDE
Vancouver’s 2018 Pride Festival is kicking off with a bang as Kim Chi and Pearl, stars of RuPaul’s Drag Race, will be emceeing a hotel celebration in downtown Vancouver.
Drag fanatics are invited to put on their flashiest outfits and take to “Pride at Parq,” being held at Parq Vancouver downtown.
The two-day celebration runs from Friday, August 3 to Saturday, August 4 at the D/6 Bar and Lounge, which will be receiving a Pride-centric makeover.
Bright and prismatic art installations, colour-changing sculptures, and a social media photo display will help set the tone for the festivities.
On Friday night, Drag Race star Kim Chi will emcee an evening party and mingle with guests, while Berlin-based DJ Dickey Doo keeps the music going well into the night.
Saturday’s events include a ‘cocktails, canapes, and queens’ afternoon hosted by drag queen and record producer Pearl, who will also be performing a three-hour DJ set.
Cocktails, canapés, and a dessert bar will be complemented with a live performance by the Brat Pack.
Tickets for each event can be purchased online, guests must be over the age of 19.
Everyone else is invited to check out the Pride-centric makeover all week long.
