Summer is just around the corner, which means that there are plenty of outdoor attractions to check out around Vancouver.

If you’re up for a short road trip, you’re definitely going to want to head to Rope Runner Aerial Adventure Park in Squamish.

Located an hour drive from Vancouver, this adventure park is the newest outdoor attraction in the Sea to Sky corridor.

The park opened in September 2017 and it’s essentially a giant structure that stands nearly six stories tall.

There are four levels with 50 different elements and 36 stations to scale, and climbers – assisted by certified guides – are required to wear a full body harness while completing the aerial rope course.

The massive course has bridges, swings, platforms, and balancing beams. It also includes different interactive elements including a sailboat on a bridge, high-wire logging, running boards, monkey bars, and “rings of madness.”

Up to 60 people can be on the structure at one time, so it’s basically like a giant playground.

The park officially opens for the season on April 2018.
