Police in Vancouver are looking for a 15-year-old girl who has been missing since early-January.
According to a release, Romie Chiu was last seen on January 8 in Vancouver and is believed to be with an adult friend. However, police have been unable to reach either of them, and at this point all avenues by both family and police to contact Chiu have been exhausted.
Police do not believe Romie has incurred foul play or is in danger, but they are concerned for her well-being now that her disappearance has exceeded over a month.
She has been described as Asian and 5’5″ tall with a slim build, long brown hair, and brown eyes.
“We just want Romie to contact us and let us know that she is okay,” says VPD spokesperson Staff Sergeant Randy Fincham.
This is not Chiu’s first disappearance. She was also reported missing by family on January 1 and was found safe five days later, but she disappeared again shortly after.
Anyone who may have information on Chiu’s location or has communicated with her is asked to call the Vancouver Police at 604-717-8277 or their local police department through 9-1-1.
