It’s one of North America’s longest running and most entertaining Rodeos. This May Long weekend, the Cloverdale Rodeo is back for another year.

Taking place over the course of four days, the 72nd annual outdoor event will once again feature the World’s best Cowboys and Cowgirls as they compete for cash prizes in events like Saddle Bronc Riding, Bareback Riding, and Bull Riding, as well as Ladies Barrel Racing.

In total, 96 of the world’s best cowboys and cowgirls will take part in the invitational. This year, the event will feature Roughstock Rodeo Events (Bareback, Saddle Bronc, Bull Riding) & Ladies Barrel Racing, with a total of 24 rodeo contestants in each of the events.

Other attractions

New to this year’s Rodeo is a charitable element, thanks to award-winning photojournalist John Lehmann, who is the the talent behind a one-of-a-kind collectible 12-month “cowboy” calendar to be available for purchase. All proceeds from calendar sales will be donated to charity.

Once again, the country fair will play a big part in the weekend as well, with visitors of all ages invited to come check out the highlights, such as a Lumberjack Show, the BC Country Music Association Pavilion, a skateboarding competition with $10,000in prize money, BC’s largest travelling Midway, and the spectacular Art Knapp Outdoor Living Pavilion.

There will also be numerous live music performances throughout the weekend at the Longhorn Saloon (19-plus), as well as a fine arts show.
