Lights in the Park

What: The Town Square Park (located beside the Steveston Museum) will warm up the chilly winter evenings as it is illuminated with a beautiful light display.

Heritage Building Light Display

What: During this holiday season, Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site is lighting up their beautiful heritage buildings for all to see. Come down in the evenings and see the site all merry and bright.

Songs in the Snow

What: Gather friends and family to welcome the holiday season with the Songs in the Snow concert series in Steveston Museum’s Town Square Park. The series will showcase local professional and amateur performers. There will be vintage style crafts, refreshments and other activities offered.

Jingle Bell Market

What: Finish your last minute holiday shopping while supporting local artisans and vendors. Unique and interesting, nature-related gifts will be available for purchase.

Lighting of the Fire Hall

What: Bring your friends and family out to the Hamilton Fire Hall No. 5 and join in the annual celebration of the lighting of this building with an afternoon of activities, entertainment and refreshments.

Steveston’s Winter Hayrides

What: Hop on board for this old-time favourite experience around Steveston Village that includes a sing-a-long and viewing of local, holiday displays. Trips leave at 30-minute intervals, snacks and hot chocolate available by cash donation. To register, please come in to Steveston Community Centre or call 604-238-8080. Pre-registration required.

When: Thursday, December 6 and Friday, December 7, 2018
Time: 6 to 8:30 pm (Thursday), 6 to 9 pm (Friday)

Price: $7 per person. Children under one-year-old are free. 12-year-olds and under must be accompanied by an adult who also needs to register.

It’s A Wonderful Life

What: A heartwarming holiday musical for the whole family. It’s a Wonderful Life, set to soaring songs from the ’20s, ’30s, and ’40s, is a timeless holiday classic. With a little help from his guardian angel, George Bailey, is brought back from despair on Christmas Eve to see how he has truly touched all the people in his life.

Winter En Blanc

What: Celebrate this winter holiday with wearing only white clothing at this event that includes a delicious meal followed by karaoke, games and group line dancing. This event is for ages 55 and over.

Winter Wonderland

What: Skate to festive music surrounded by thousands of sparkling lights, real snow banks, decorated holiday trees and more.

Tea with Santa

What: A festive afternoon tea, benefiting Make-A-Wish BC & Yukon Foundation, with the man in red himself.
Get into the spirit of the season at this family-friendly event where attendees will enjoy a festive afternoon tea menu, a visit and take-home picture with Santa, cookie decorating station, hot chocolate bar and other special surprises. Proceeds from every ticket go to Make-A-Wish BC & Yukon Foundation, granting the wishes of children living with life-threatening conditions.
