The Toronto Raptors are set to play preseason games in both Vancouver and Montreal this October.
The team will be facing off against the Sacramento Kings at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena on Sunday, October 5 and the New York Knicks at Montreal’s Bell Centre on Friday, October 24.
“We are honoured to play host to the Kings and Knicks as part of NBA Canada Series,” said Raptors President and GM Masai Ujiri in a release on Monday. “Coming off an exciting 2013-14 season, we look forward to continuing to build our fan base across Canada.”
This will mark the Raptor’s second preseason visit to Vancouver following the 2010 defeat of the Phoenix Suns in front of a near-soldout crowd. The team dominated the Knicks in front of two at capacity crowds at the Bell Centre in 2010 and 2012.
Since 1995, the Raptors have played preseason games in 11 Canadian cities outside of Toronto. In 2010, they held their training camp at the University of British Columbia’s War Memorial Gymnasium.
Tickets for both games will go on sale Saturday, June 14 at 10 a.m. at ticketmaster.ca.
