It appears that Ryan Miller will be injured for longer than first thought.

According to a report from TSN’s Farhan Lalji, Ryan Miller will not be available for any games before the end of the regular season. That means that if the Canucks make the playoffs, they will be faced with the decision to play a rusty starting goalie or choose their backup, Eddie Lack.
Of course, Eddie Lack has played like anything but a backup this season. Lack has started in 24 games and has a save percentage of .921. For comparison, that is the same save percentage that Roberto Luongo has put up in Florida this season.
If Miller can’t get into anymore games before the end of the regular season and Lack backstops the team to the playoffs, the smart decision will be to start Eddie Lack in game 1.
The Canucks are not a lock to make the playoffs yet, although it looks promising. They have 13 games remaining on their schedule and are 3 point ahead of 9th place Calgary.
