From the Facebook Page:
On August 15th 2012 it will be 1 year since the world lost a great man. Let’s meet at Rogers Arena Plaza to honor and remember Rick Rypien.
The day will be not only to honor and remember, but it will be for all the people he has helped and for all those struggling with depression & those effected by it.
We will have books to sign and we will collect any letters/stories written, then it will all be handed in to the Canucks organization. We will let you know via Facebook and Twitter when the Canucks organization has received everything.
We will be at RA from 11am till about 6pm so feel free to come by, hang out, talk, cry & remember. Feel free to invite friends, family, and any Canucks fans. Everybody is welcome.
Rick Rypien Forever A Canuck.
We have been/will be receiving some Canucks merchandise and we are planning to hold a Silent Auction throughout the day. Proceeds will be going to MindCheck.ca. At the end of the day we will contact you if you have placed the highest bid.
In addition to our Canucks merch, a Canucks fan and great artist, Natalie Smith, has offered to have Canucks paintings up for sale and 10 dollars from each sale will be donated to MindCheck.ca. She has made a photo album with paintings and prices so feel free to check it out.
*****There are still details to be worked out so check back here to keep updated.******
(I have been in contact with the Canucks organization and have been given full permission to use the RA Plaza on this day. A big thank you to them!)
