The champagne hangover has long passed and you have likely started to think about some of your resolutions for 2015. Getting fit or achieving a specific fitness goal are some of the most common resolutions people make every year. That being said, the gym often empties out too quickly and life can sometimes get in the way of fulfilling all of your resolutions.

Here are five things you can do to crush all your health and fitness goals this year:

1. Activity monitors

There are a number of gadgets available now for tracking activity and calories across all forms of exercise. The Nike Fuel Band is a great option that tracks every move you make. This sleek little band syncs to a mobile and online app that allows you to set goals, track milestones and even compare your activity with other users. This is the perfect accessory for both the seasoned fitness junky or those looking to get back into working out.

2. A foam roller

This is an inexpensive, essential piece of gear for anyone who will be working out regularly. The foam roller is a self-massager that helps to relieve muscle tightness. The foam roller is a lifesaver for runners, cross-fitters, and basically anyone who engages in physical activity that results in sore muscles. It just feels so good. They can be purchased at any sporting good’s store.

3. Class passes

There is nothing like trying a new fitness class to get you inspired to start meeting and setting some fitness goals. Try to pick something outside of your comfort zone—the challenge will be motivating!  Some great options to try out— Ride Cycle ClubYYoga or The Bar Method.

4. Blend it up

After a tough workout, a fresh pressed juice or smoothie helps for quick recovery.  There are a huge assortment of high quality blenders that will let you create delicious smoothies and juices at home. The Nutribullet is an affordable, easy-to-use option. Have some money to spend? You may want to look into the Vitamix— think of this as the Ferarri of blenders.

5. Beats to fuel the workout

There is nothing like a good play list to up a sweat session. Listen to your favourite tunes in style with the Sync by 50 On-Ear Wireless Sport Headphone. These headphones are ideal for the active listener as they are built with a sweat-resistant coating. Forget fiddling with cords or your phone, they can switch songs or bump up the volume on the headphone itself. They will be thanking you for these bad boys on their long runs!
