RCMP seek motorcyclist who rode through Surrey's Guildford Town Centre

It’s something that seems more like what happens in a Hollywood action movie than in real life. Earlier today, a motorcyclist rode through Surrey’s Guildford Town Centre shopping mall this afternoon, shocking shoppers and causing them to scatter.

The incident is said to have occurred at approximately 3 p.m. when a man on a motorcycle rode through the mall and down an escalator near Walmart before making his exit, according to the Vancouver Sun.

Earlier in the afternoon, just before 2 p.m., Surrey RCMP also responded to a report of a motorcyclist riding erratically through city streets. He was last seen riding through 192nd Street and 96th Avenue, around the Langley/Surrey municipal border.

There have been no reports of injuries caused by the motorcyclist’s dangerous behaviour. Surveillance footage is being examined to determine the identity of the man, although an early description indicates he is a male Caucasian in his 40s.

If you witnessed the incident or have further information that may be helpful to investigators, you are asked to contact Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers’ anonymous tip line at 1-800-222-8477.
