RCMP investigating early morning gunfire at Burnaby residence

The police are investigating a residence in Burnaby after responding to shots fired during the early morning of Wednesday, July 11.

The incident took place just before 4 am on the 5200 block of Smith Avenue in Burnaby.

Burnaby RCMP has determined that multiple shots were fired, some of which struck a residence. They have, however, confirmed that there are no injuries.

RCMP also comment that they believe this was an isolated incident and there is no indication of risk to the public.

Investigators are still continuing to work at the scene; no further information is available at this time.
