Environment Canada updated their weather warning for the region at 11:16 am today saying that more heavy rain is expected for the region.

“Periods of heavy rain will continue over Metro Vancouver into this evening,” it said. “Areas along the North Shore of Vancouver can expect an additional 15 to 25 mm.”

The heavy rain, which is forecast to continue throughout the week, could also lead to some flooding the agency warned: “Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.”
