Rainbow Pride patio at Davie and Bute

DH Vancouver Staff Jul 30, 2013 7:43 am

Yesterday we showed you that the much anticipated rainbow crosswalks have finally been installed, however Pride on Davie street doesn’t stop with rainbow crosswalks, flags and a supportive community. A Rainbow Pride patio has also just been installed on Bute and Davie.

It’s a perfect spot to sit and enjoy a meal or coffee while appreciating what it represents, not only LGBT pride, but a pride in West End that has always encouraged embracing and celebrating the LGBT community.

There are many coffee shops and restaurants along Davie Street that offer great to-go meals to enjoy on this colourful and love-laden Rainbow Pride patio. It also has a lovely view of the permanent rainbow crosswalk at Davie and Bute.

Vancouver Pride Week festivities will kick off this week and climax on Sunday, August 4 with the 35th annual Vancouver Pride Parade and the Vancouver Pride Festival at Sunset Beach. Click here for our full Pride 2013 event guide.
