Coffee lovers, this news will have you jumpier than after your third espresso. Toronto’s Quantum Coffee is headed west, and is prepping their second location at 455 Granville Street right in downtown Vancouver.

This exciting new coffee spot will offer both a cafe and retail space, including a lounge space that will feature event programming, including brewing classes, according to Quantum.

Quantum geeks out over single-origin beans from around the globe; for them it’s all about quality. And with a nod to the fact that Vancouver is “the original home of third wave coffee in Canada,” it makes perfect sense for them to set up here.

Here’s Quantum with more of their plans for their Vancouver coffee spot:

We are reaffirming the initial vision, that the building will be designed as one cohesive hub for the creative and digital minds of the city to meet, mingle and learn. Standing by our core values, an emphasis will be placed on offering a curated selection of freshly roasted single origins and house roasts in a thoughtfully constructed space. We are also looking forward to sourcing local, sustainable, and fresh ingredients, in addition to working with vendors and artisans within the Vancouver community.

The cafe opened their Toronto flagship in early 2016, located at the city’s BrainStation, the education centre focused on programming, design, and business courses to create future creators. Why is this key? Well…BrainStation will be unveiling their new 20,000 sq. ft campus later this month, located at…you guessed it…455 Granville Street.
