Celebrate Pride Season at Vancouver Aquarium's After Hours (CONTEST)

Vancouver Aquarium is getting ready to host a glamourous Pride-inspired After Hours.

On Thursday, August 9, the Aquarium wants you to dress in your finest drag and let loose with your partner and friends while you explore the Aquarium’s many galleries and meet the fiercest animals in the sea.

And you can do it all with a cocktail, wine, or beer, in-hand.

Get freaky and fabulous as you hear shocking animal sex talks and watch high-energy drag performances. That’s right, you’re not going to want to miss out on all the fun. To celebrate, we’re giving away two free tickets to the event. Enter the contest below for your chance to win.

It’s not often that you get to enjoy the Aquarium in this way, so you’re gonna want to do it big.

In fact, it’s the first time ever for the Aquarium to host live music performances by local drag queen extraordinaire Carlotta Gurl. You’ll also get to learn about the outrageous reproductive strategies of marine creatures during Animal Sex Talks.

Don’t forget to wear your best fishnet stockings to compete for the crown in the inaugural “Fishiest Drag Performer” contest. No sequins, glitter, or beads can be on your costume as it has to be ocean-friendly. Are you up for the challenge?

Immerse yourself in the ocean plastic pollution crisis in Vortex, the provocative art installation by author and artist, Douglas Coupland. Take a seat and watch Shark: A 4-D Experience, celebrate the diversity in BC waters during special programs with majestic Stellar sea lions, or visit the Wet Lab to get hands-on with marine invertebrates.

Tickets to the 19+ event cost $27 for members and $35 for non-members via Vancouver Aquarium. Make sure to get yours soon as After Hours is known to sell out fast!
