Mixed Nuts is a twisted version of The Nutcracker, featuring some of the classic numbers as well as new choreography from an array of dance genres, presented by Arts Umbrella Dance Company on December 18 and 19 at the Vancouver Playhouse.

Arts Umbrella Dance Company brings their modern retelling of The Nutcracker to the Vancouver Playhouse stage. This revamping of Tchailvosky’s classic ballet. They present their ‘tradition with a twist’ which includes all different dance styes, including hip-hop, ballroom, modern and of course, ballet. The show ends with the classic grand pas-de-deux.

Mixed Nuts combines old favourites from the original Nutcracker with modern choreography pieces by local Vancouver choreographers. The show even features some dancers from Ballet BC and Kid Pivot.

For some extra festive fun, there is a photobooth for you to take fun holidays shots in before the performance begins. There are props, costumes and even live dancers to pose with!
