More than 2,000 customers without power across Lower Mainland and Sunshine Coast
An overnight windstorm has caused power outages across the Lower Mainland and Sunshine Coast this morning.
At the time of writing, more than 2,000 BC Hydro customers are without power, with people in Delta, Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows among those affected.

“Strong winds have made landfall on the Lower Mainland, Sunshine Coast and East Vancouver Island causing several large outages” an alert on BC Hydro’s website said this morning. “Crews are dispatched in all affected areas and will be working throughout the night to restore customers in a safe and timely manner.”
