A suspicious death at a residence in the British Properties neighbourhood is being investigated by both West Vancouver Police and the Vancouver Police Homicide Unit.

On Saturday evening, police received reports that a violent confrontation had occurred at a home in the 900 block of King Georges Way.

West Vancouver Police arrived to the scene promptly and were assisted by officers from the Vancouver Police Department. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of a 42-year-old man.

The home was quickly secured for forensic examination and the investigation is ongoing. A 55-year-old man was arrested without incident early Sunday morning, and although the investigation is still in its early stages several charges are already being considered by police.

Under an agreement, suspicious deaths in West Vancouver are investigated with the assistance of the Vancouver Police Department.
