Police are investigating gunfire in Surrey’s Panorama Ridge neighbourhood during the early morning hours of Friday.

According to Surrey RCMP, officers responded to the area of 128 Street and 56 Avenue after receiving receiving reports of shots fired at about 12:49 a.m. Upon arriving at the scene, no victims were located but officers were able to find evidence to support that shots had been fired in the area.

Police are now canvassing the neighbourhood and speaking with witnesses to obtain more information. The investigation is in its early stages; the motive for the shooting is not known at this time.

Anyone with information that could assist investigators is asked to contact Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers’ anonymous hotline at 1-800-222-8477.
