One person is dead after a fatal traffic accident in Surrey this afternoon.
At approximately 4 pm, Surrey RCMP received multiple 911 calls reporting a serious collision between a westbound tractor trailer vehicle and a car at the intersection of Highway 10 (56th Avenue.) and 168th Street.
Multiple RCMP officers attended to the scene and found the lone occupant in the vehicle deceased.
Highway 10 is currently closed between 152nd Street and Highway 15 in both directions. As well, 168th Avenue is currently closed between Colebrook Road and 57A Avenue until further notice
Surrey RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance and asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or stopped at the scene of the collision, just after it occurred to call the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers’ anonymous hotline at 1-800-222-8477.
