Pedestrian hit at Arbutus Street and Nanton Avenue in Vancouver

Witnesses say a skateboarder was struck by a vehicle at Arbutus Street and Nanton Avenue near the Arbutus Club in Vancouver on Saturday afternoon at approximately 3 p.m. Arbutus remained open, while Nanton was closed to traffic.

The Vancouver Police Department would not confirm details, but a witness told Vancity Buzz that the victim is a 15-year-old male and was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A Porsche Cayenne was parked nearby with a broken windshield. Witnesses say this was the vehicle that struck the boy. It is not clear how the accident occurred.
