May 14 2017, 1:27 am

If you’re a non-driving hiker ready to explore BC’s parks, this express bus service will get you to your destination.

Parkbus is back for the summer and will be providing a day trip shuttle service Garibaldi, Joffre Lakes, Stawamus Chief, Alice Lake, Cypress, Golden Ears Provincial Park, and Shannon Falls.

Parkbus is a non-profit that started in Ontario in 2010.

In 2016, the company joined forces with Vancouver’s Better Environmentally Sound Transportation (BEST) and tested its pilot service to select BC parks.

Now, Parkbus is back for a second year in BC and has added more day trip destinations for hikers.

Trips to select parks begin on May 21. For full scheduling and pricing details, visit the Parkbus website.

If you need more convincing to get on a bus and go for a hike, these are a few of the destinations where Parkbus will take you.
