Vancouver’s Pakistan Festival is coming back for its seventh year.
The celebration will take place on August 14, the anniversary of Pakistan’s 1947 independence from Great Britain, and will celebrate the culture of all of Pakistan.
Admission is free and open to everyone – in addition to giving Pakistani-Canadians a voice, the event hopes to develop relationships with other communities and faith groups, and to help foster a greater understanding and appreciation for Pakistani culture among Vancouverites.
This year, the festival will take over the Vancouver waterfront at Jack Poole Plaza. Here’s what it looked like last August, when it was hosted in Surrey’s Holland Park:
