CanvasRX is the first comprehensive database for medical marijuana and helps Canadians who are considering using medical marijuana as treatment. They match strains to symptoms, connect patients to licensed producers, provide free information and resources for doctors, and simplify the process of purchasing medical marijuana for patients.
Patients can now search which strain best suits their symptoms and download a Medical Document to bring to their doctor. The Medical Document is equivalent to a prescription from your doctor and is required in order to purchase medical marijuana from the site. After a patient has a filled out Medical Document, they can then mail it to the licensed producer who will then verify the patients’ information before processing the shipment order.
“Different strains of marijuana alleviate different symptoms, and patients aren’t sure which producer to use,” said CanvasRX co-founder Ronan Levy.
He continues to say that the website operates similar to an online medical pharmacy because “pharmacies in Canada cannot carry marijuana and the dispensory model is prohibited by the regulations.”
“We step into fill the knowledge gap by providing patients and doctors with the information and resources they need to best utlize this treatment option.”
The free to use website allows patients to type in a strain or their symptom and search which option is best suited for their symptom. The medical marijuana is categorized by low, medium, and high levels of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and Cannabidiol (CBD). The website also categorizes the marijuana by price and strain type.
