Oak + Fort launches showroom at Vancouver headquarters

Oak + Fort is stepping up their e-commerce game with a new showroom that allows customers to preview collections before they hit store shelves. If something catches your eye, you can place an online order on the spot and leave with your item the same day.

While the showroom on E. 6th Avenue is mainly meant for businesses to check out what’s new, it can also be used by fashion conscious people to stay in the loop.

“The difference [between a store and the showroom] mainly is that here we show the new arrivals, you can come and try on things, you can come in and see what’s new, and it’s also a space where you can come pick up online orders,” Oak + Fort Marketing Manager Malissa Tayag tells Daily Hive.

The Vancouver-based company’s original head office was located in Gastown, and they moved to the current space late last year. The showroom was completed later and launched in March.

Tayag adds that at some point they hope to have a showroom in the U.S. as they continue to expand south of the border. Oak + Fort is opening a store in Soho in Manhattan, as well as a space in Chicago that’s launching at the end of April.

Oak + Fort’s first showroom reflects the minimal style they’re known for, with stark concrete floors and white walls. The clothes are presented neatly on simple, white racks.
