We’re all suckers for a good Vancouver sunset — and while they’re not a rare spectacle here on the West Coast (aren’t we lucky), they’re certainly a stunning one.

However, you’ll have to pick the perfect day and wait a few extra hours after the sun has set to see the sky changing to the green of the Northern Lights.

…Which is exactly what happened last night, for a few fortunate photographers.

The aurora borealis spotted above the Lower Mainland‘s northern mountains was difficult to see with the naked eye, but many cameras captured the spectacle using long exposure, and the results are incredible.
