The long-awaited massive 230,000 square foot Nordstrom Vancouver flagship store is opening tomorrow, September 18, and fashionistas across the Metro area can hardly contain their excitement.
The American company launched with a bang on Wednesday with a swanky gala and a fashion show that put anything Vancouver Fashion Week can produce to shame. Celebrities such as Camilla Belle, Zachary Quinto, and Coco Rocha were spotted sipping cocktails and eating scrumptious looking appetizers.
So what can you expect from tomorrow’s official launch? We’re glad you asked. Here are four things you’ll find inside Nordstrom Vancouver:
The Nordstrom name carries a certain amount of caché and with it comes high-end brands. The Vancouver store won’t disappoint – from Alexander McQueen and Balenciaga to Valentino and Christian Louboutin, the selection of designer brands seems endless. For a complete list of brands, click here.
A cell phone charging station will be available to customers free of, well, charge. It will be located next to the customer service bar on the first floor. Simply select an available locker, create a security code, plug in your phone, lock it and enjoy a stress-free shopping experience.
Bistro Verde will be on the third floor of the Nordstrom store and will overlook Robson Square and the Vancouver Art Gallery. It will accommodate 186 diners and has a modern, contemporary design with an evident West Coast influence with the extensive use of wood and rock stone.
Expect delicacies like freshly prepared salads, entrees, sandwiches and desserts. Click here for more on the bistro.
For tomorrow’s opening, Nordstrom has some fun up their sleeves. There will be a tented cosmetics and fragrance “Beauty Bash” outside the Robson Street entrance, which will be closed for the occasion. Enjoy free skincare consultations, makeup lessons and demonstrations from a team of Nordstrom beauty experts. There will also be food trucks, a photo booth to show off your new look, and live music from the band Side One.
There will also be a rowdy countdown by employees, as per Nordstrom opening tradition, to greet guests with cheers and applause as they enter the store.
