The Centra Cares Foundation will give new windows (valued at $15,000) to a BC family

When it comes to home renovations, people tend to focus on the interiors more than the exteriors; specifically, their windows.

But the reality is that many families living in the Lower Mainland can’t afford to have new windows installed. That’s why the Centra Cares Foundation is stepping in to give one family in need a full house of brand new Centra windows – worth up to $15,000.

How to nominate a family

The Centra Cares Foundation is accepting nominations until May 31 and they can be made on behalf of another individual, or you can nominate yourself.

Nominations will be accepted via the Centra Cares landing page or on Facebook. All you have to do is share your story and answer the following questions:

• Why are you or the person you are nominating deserving of this prize valued at $15,000?
• What does this family mean to you or the community?
• How has this family impacted those around them?
• How will this impact them if chosen?

Nominations are being accepted until May 31, 2018. Make sure to share your nomination with your family and friends after you post it!

New windows bring a wide range of benefits to the home as they allow the air to keep flowing in and out (preventing the formation of mold), and they help families save up to 8% on their energy bills as old windows and doors can be responsible for 40% of a home’s energy loss.

Additionally, Centra windows help keep families safe as they’re designed with multipoint or multiple security features. So, do you know a family who deserves a full new set of windows?

The foundation had an overwhelming response of entries coming from all over BC for the contest in 2017, and they’re ready to do it all over again this year.
