It’s sleek, ergonomic, lighter and safer… what kind of second generation vehicle is this?
Vancouver International Airport has introduced 3,000 new and improved baggage carts to its massive terminal-wide fleet for passengers to use. In some international airports, using a cart comes with a fee, but at YVR this remains as a free amenity for passengers to use.
The new baggage carts are 9 kg lighter, consists of composite rubber wheels for better grip and durability, has handbrakes for improved safety features, and precision bearings for better manoeuvrability.
The airport authority has some sense of humour by making this video. Be sure to take these vehicles out for a test drive the next time you’re at YVR!
