Nana’s Green Tea

Located at 2135 W 41st Avenue in Vancouver’s Kerrisdale neighbourhood, Nana’s Canadian flagship store has around 25 seats and a stellar menu of matcha treats and drinks for patrons to get into.

The Downlow Chicken Shack

The Downlow Chicken Shack will be open Tuesday through Sunday from 11:30 am to 9:30 pm (or until there’s no chicken left). Located at 905 Commercial Drive, the 1,000 sq. ft. space has 24 seats with eight at the bar and an outdoor patio.

Pallet Coffee Roasters – Oak

Pallet Coffee Roasters has announced the opening date of their newest Vancouver location along they are promoting a good cause during their opening week. Located at West 22nd and Oak Streets, Pallet Oak will be the brand’s fourth location and it will be opening its doors for the first time on June 25.

Hey Kokomo Kitsilano officially opened on June 16. Located in the former spot of Culprit Coffee at 2028 Vine Street, this will is the second Vancouver location for the popular vegan eatery.

Superbaba – Food Truck

Superbaba’s mobile eatery will offer up it’s first serving of Middle Eastern eats on June 20. The cheerful white, pink, and turquoise truck will be parked at Burrard and Dunsmuir (the former spot of Tacofino’s White Lighting truck) from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm on opening day.

Vancouver’s first zero-waste grocery store, Nada (formerly Zero Waste Market), is about to open its doors after a successful crowdfunding campaign that brought the project to life. For their first week, Nada will be open from June 20 to June 26 from 10 am to 7 pm.

It has been just over a year since beloved eatery Trafalgers Bistro closed its doors in June 2017, and we’ve only just discovered what will be replacing the 2603 West 16th Avenue space. The 1,200 sq. ft. eatery will be replaced by Fiore Famiglia, the new sister restaurant to South Granville Italian restaurant Fiore (1485 W 12th Avenue), and it’s set to open as soon as next week.

Francesco’s Ristorante

Francesco’s Ristorante, formally Don Francesco’s Ristorante, quietly shuttered in 2017 to the dismay of patrons across the city. Francesco’s is officially gearing up to reopen at 909 Cordova Street, the current location of soon-to-be-closed Hapa Izakaya Coal Harbour.

Korean BBQ king Seorae is opening its very first North American location in the Metro Vancouver city this summer.

Ramen Raijin – West Broadway


The new eatery, Ramen Raijin, will be opening at 401 West Broadway in the former home of Menya Ramen. Menya was a long-time fixture in Mount Pleasant and it closed on May 31 after their chef and owner decided to retire.
