Taste of Yaletown is back for 2017, so you better get hungry.
The annual food fest is returning for its 13th year of special menus, tasting plates, and expert pairings in the restaurants of one of Vancouver’s swankiest neighbourhoods.
While there are 26 restaurants to try out this year, there are five participants making their debut in the dining festival.
Some are recently-opened, while others are institutions in the area.
Here are the five new participating restaurants to try during Taste of Yaletown 2017.
This spot is the new kid on the block in Yaletown, but it has quickly become a favourite neighbourhood haunt. Enjoy offerings here like smoked tuna carpaccio, southern fried chicken, and chocolate cake to finish.
For Taste of Yaletown this year, Earls is offering a $45 drool-worthy selection of dishes. These eats include crispy calamari, a dynamite roll, BBQ ribs and chicken, and sticky toffee chocolate pudding to name a few.
This recently-opened North Pacific Mexican restaurant kills with its regular menu, so we expected nothing less than a stellar Taste of Yaletown menu too. Enjoy guacamole, crispy sunchokes, pumpkin seeds, and Macedonian feta or grilled cactus for a starter, flank steak or grilled cauliflower for a main, and flourless chocolate cake to finish.
An oldie but a goodie, the Keg is offering a stellar menu for Taste of Yaletown this year. Enjoy a selection of appetizers, entrees, and desserts include the classic Keg caesar salad, a peppercorn New York steak, and a slice of cheesecake to name a few.
What could be better than chocolate and booze? XOXOLAT will be offering a whiskey tasting paired with six chocolate treats for $25 during Taste of Yaletown. Reservations are recommended and can be made from 4 to 6 pm from Wednesday to Saturday.
When: October 11 to October 27
