Vancouver has some of the world’s best seafood, so the more seafood restaurants we have, the better. But as much as I love eating seafood, I do admit that it can often be a splurge. Last night I had the pleasure of attending the opening of The Fish Shack by Glowbal Group on Granville street, a new casual seafood restaurant in town that changes that. With set lunches starting at $10 and buck-a-shuck oysters available everyday, The Fish Shack is making seafood a more affordable meal for everyone. The Fish Shack has replaced Sanafir in its spot on Granville street, which is a super convenient location to stop by after work or shopping. Its interior decor is particularly fun because it features a high ceiling and a nautical theme that can easily be loved by all west coasters.
I quite like how The Fish Shack has an open bar where one can watch how the shellfish are prepared. I must applaud how great all the staff and servers were on the opening night; they were all genuinely kind and very knowledgeable about seafood.
And now, for the foodtography…
I’m already a huge fan of The Fish Shack. The food and service here was amazing and the menu prices are ridiculously reasonable. In other words, you really get a lot of bang-for-your-buck. This is casual dining at its finest! I also must mention that the Caesar’s here is a killer. I definitely plan on making a trip here again sometime soon, and you should as well!
