Young creatives looking to break out in Vancouver’s fashion industry have many obstacles to overcome when it comes to translating their ideas into physical products; most of which boil down to a lack of resources.

From commissioning the production of samples to producing photo shoots and fashion shows; developing a brand from the ground up takes dedication, time, and money. Paperroute, a Vancouver based marketing and creative agency that specializes in building emerging fashion brands, aims to change all that.

This weekend marks the first ever New Fashion Festival; a decentralized fashion weekend produced by Paperroute that aims to showcase and foster the development of emerging local fashion brands and young creatives in Vancouver. Boasting a dynamic assortment of programming, the weekend long event will include an incubator workshop day, a fashion film contest, two days full of shows and presentations, a special edition of HI FASHION (Paperroute’s popular free expression fashion party), a market day for emerging designers, a wearable tech showcase, and an official closing party.
