Get ready to show off your Canadian pride because today is National Flag of Canada Day.
In celebration of Flag Day and Canada’s 150th anniversary, a 60-foot Canadian flag will be raised at Bloedel Conservatory in Queen Elizabeth Park this afternoon.
The Canadian flag was raised for the first time on Parliament Hill on February 15, 1965. In 1996, Parliament declared every February 15 National Flag Day.
With it being the 150th anniversary of Canadian Confederation, this year’s Flag Day ceremony is extra special.
So wear your red and white, and get ready to celebrate the maple leaf with your fellow Canadians.
