7 highly-anticipated Dine Out Vancouver events you need to be at

Dine Out Vancouver is about to kick off for the 16th time.

Taking place from January 19 through February 4, the annual festival will feature hundreds of restaurants offering multi-course dinners at $20, $30, or $40, plus some amazing events.

The Art Of Tea Gastronomy

A night all about tea gastronomy, head to TWG Tea to toy with your palate and tastebuds while enjoying a five-course dinner and some of the luxury tea purveyor’s signature and rare teas.

The Ocean Wise Pop-Up Cafe

Chef Ned Bell’s Ocean Wise Pop-Up Cafe in the Vancouver Aquarium is returning to Dine Out this year, and there are still tickets available (some have sold out, though). Enjoy a three-course menu featuring eats from his cookbook, “Lure,” and explore Aquarium’s galleries before or after your meal.

Hidden Gem Dim Sum Tour

Find those hidden gems with the help of the experts. This unique tour will include a short history of Vancouver’s Chinatown and look at the culture and cuisine in the area. The menu will feature a ton of Chinese food such as sweet egg tarts and soup dumplings.

Get Shucked Up!

Enjoy this evening of oysters and wine at Fanny Bay Oyster Bar. Learn the art of opening oysters and how to pair them with local BC wines. The restaurant invites you to “shuck yourself silly at this exclusive tasting” which feature three varieties of farm fresh oysters.

Street Food City Vancouver 2018


Back again, the Street Food City will be one of the most exciting events during the Dine Out Vancouver Festival for 2018. Get some good eats in the streets from January 22 to 28 from more than 20 food trucks and cart. Purveyors will rotate throughout the week-long festival which takes place at the Vancouver Art Gallery’s North Plaza on Georgia Street between Howe and Hornby.

Taste Of The Market

The perfect opportunity to explore Lonsdale Quay Market and the people who make it so great. Guests will explore this spot’s sprawling array of food and beverages starting at the market’s own local brewery, Green Leaf Brewing Co. Other offerings including fresh salmon, artisan cheese, gourmet pizza, wine, and fudge.

Rail Car Pop-up: All Aboard Rocky Mountaineer

The Rail Car Pop-Up will give diners a chance to experience Rocky Mountaineer’s luxury cuisine aboard the train, which will remain in the station for this event. Attendees can expect a welcome beverage to start in the GoldLeaf railcar (which is customary on a Rocky Mountaineer train journey), and after exploring the bi-level, glass-domed train car, diners can dig into a three-course meal prepared by Rocky Mountaineer’s culinary team.
