Delta motorcylist thrown 50 feet after collision with car in Langley

A motorcyclist remains in hospital after a serious accident on Saturday evening.

Just after 9 pm, Langley RCMP responded to a serious collision between a Toyota Yaris and a motorcycle.

Witnesses said the Yaris was travelling southbound on 208th Street when it attempted to turn left onto 56 Avenue, said Langley RCMP Cpl. Holly Largy.

The motorcyclist, a 54-year-old Delta man, collided with the rear passenger side door of the Yaris and was thrown approximately 50 ft. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

No charges have been laid as a result of the crash yet, but the investigation is ongoing.
