Granville Island’s Dockside Restaurant will offer a Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet. Built around food stations, which evoke the bounty of Granville Island’s Public Market, guests at Dockside can choose from over 70 selections, like omelettes, waffles, Eggs Benedict, local meats, and fresh seafood.
Two seatings, 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., will be offered and reservations are required. The buffet is $74.95 per person (plus tax and gratuity) for adults, and $34.95 per child 6 to 12 years (5 and under free).

Mothers eat for free on Sunday, May 8. Bring your mom to Jules Bistro and her brunch will be on the Gastown eatery. Choose any item from Jules Bistro’s brunch menu and receive one complimentary per table.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 8, Boulevard Executive Chef Alex Chen and team will offer up a sumptuous three-course Mother’s Day Brunch menu for $59 per person, featuring appetizer courses such as Artichoke and Burrata Salad and Snake River Farm Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, as well as mains like traditional Eggs Benedict and Italian Sausage Meatballs Cocotte.
If brunch isn’t Mom’s thing, Boulevard is also offering a gourmet three-course dinner for $65 per person that features starters such as Sawmill Bay Oysters and White Asparagus Salad, along with mains like Classic Chicken Coq au Vin and ‘Mama’s Sunday Roast’ with Slow-cooked Prime Striploin.

On Sunday, May 8 YEW seafood + bar is hosting the ultimate Mother’s Day brunch in honour of moms everywhere. Families will be spoiled for choice with YEW’s enticing à la carte dishes and delights from the raw bar, charcuterie and carvery stations. Brunch is priced at $85 per adult.
For Mother’s Day 2016 Joe Fortes will be offering brunch from 10 a.m. Joe’s Seafood Tower on Ice will be available for $64.95/tier with Atlantic lobster, chilled crab, local oysters, clams, mussels, scallop ceviche, smoked Albacore Tuna, and poached jumbo prawns. Brunch time essentials will also be on offer, including Chicken and Waffles, French Toast, and Lobster Benedict. All moms will leave with a little surprise from Joe Fortes on Mother‘s Day.

Gastown’s Bauhaus restaurant does not normally serve weekend brunch, however, it will be offering brunch-inspired plates on Sunday, May 8 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. A dinnertime tasting menu will also be offered from 5 p.m. onwards. Downtown’s Glowbal restaurant will be bringing back its popular 100 plus item buffet on Mother’s Day. From 10 a.m. guests can enjoy favourite brunch items, including Eggs Benedict, bacon, sausage, salads, breads and artisanal cheeses, omelettes, pastries, and more. If your mom is a seafood lover make sure you consider Coast as a dining option. The Alberni Street restaurant is offering a Seafood Extravaganza Buffet from 10 a.m. on Mother’s Day. Diners will be treated to a fully stocked Chill Bar with items like fresh shucked oysters, jumbo tiger prawns, Snow and Dungeness crab, mussels, and clams. Indulge your mom with a sophisticated brunch at Hawksworth. The restaurant will be serving brunch as usual, but they will also have two special menu items for mom to choose from: one savoury (Dungeness Crab and Spring Asparagus Benedict) and the other sweet (Verrine made of vanilla, strawberry, and pistachio).

Yaletown’s Homer St. Cafe and Bar will be offering a special brunch feature (brisket, asparagus hash, and fried egg), rotisserie (marinated lamb sirloin, sweet peppers, fava beans, chickpeas, and preserved lemon), and dessert (rhubarb and apple crumble) on Mother’s Day.

Although Ancora won’t be serving a special Mother’s Day brunch this year per se, it will, however, be offering a recently launched Sunday brunch service. The waterside restaurant features reworked classics such as Naturally Good Farm Chicken and Waffles (with spiced syrup, avocado puree, house bacon, and botanical greens), alongside their signature Steelhead Trout Benny.

Those looking to spoil their mom with a memorable foodie experience can do so at the Shangri-La Hotel, Vancouver. The downtown hotel is set to host a specially-crafted afternoon tea on the sixth floor heated outdoor terrace. Executive Chef Ken Nakano and his team of talented pastry chefs will create a lavish afternoon tea tower, featuring a mix of sweet and savoury items.

Those looking for a unique and edible gift idea this Mother’s Day should sign up for a cooking demonstration and dinner. Hosted by Valentine Kitamura (owner of Tartine & Maple and baker at The Uncommon Café) the cooking workshop will entail dinner, plus the demonstration of the food that will be served, which includes crispy cheese triangles, Bouillabaisse (fish and shellfish stew), and profiteroles. Welcome glass of Champagne and paired wine included, plus a little surprise for mom.
