These are the most valuable brands in the world right now

RBC is Canada’s most valuable brand, according to a new ranking of the top 500 most valuable brands in the world by Brand Finance.

The independent brand valuation and strategy consultancy estimated the brand value of companies of all different kinds around the globe.

It found the most valuable brand in the world is Amazon, with a brand value of US $150.8 billion, up 42% since last year.

This was followed by Apple, with a brand value of US$146.3 billion, up 37% since last year, and Google, with a brand value of $120.9 billion, up 10% since last year.

In Canada, the most valuable brands were largely banks and telecoms companies.

Top was RBC, which came in at 107th place in the world overall. TD followed in 118th place and Bell came in at 141st place. No brand values were available.

And what about the Canadian company we all know and love are mad at? Well, Tim Hortons was ranked the 11th most valuable Canadian brand, and ranked 351th overall.
