Vancouver pets are the third most-pampered in the country

It’s no secret that pet owners in Vancouver really love their animal companions, and now, a new survey from Amazon Canada shows shows these pets are some of the most-pampered in the country.

In its sixth annual ranking of the Canadian cities with the most pampered pets, Vancouver was number three on the list.

According to Amazon, the list was compiled by comparing per capita sales data for pet items purchased on Amazon Canada’s website from August 2017 to August 2018 in cities with more than 100,000 residents.

Sales data was collected from products for dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles and small animals.

The third place ranking keeps Vancouver high on the list of pet-loving cities, but drops it from its first place ranking last year.

Rounding out the list this year, is Calgary in second place, and London, Ontario in first place.
