It’s something every company strives for, but it’s difficult to create: Brand Love. And each year, Ipsos teams with BCBusiness to uncover which are the most-loved brands in BC.
For the second year in a row, London Drugs topped the list, which Ipsos’ Executive Vice President for Western Canada Michael Rodenburgh said is due to the fact that people “feel like they can trust” London Drugs.
“Trust is one of the biggest drivers of Brand Love,” he added. “Because many people use their pharmacy and photo developing services, they are trusting London Drugs with their well-being and personal memories, which also strengthens the relationship.”
Rodenburgh also noted the presence of fast-food chain A&W on the list.
“A&W tapped into the larger healthier eating trend,” he said. “Despite being fast-food, they engaged consumers in conversations around better ingredients by offering hormone and steroid free products.”
This clever switch in positioning, he added, “allowed A&W to differentiate themselves from their competitors, and to increase their resonance with consumers.”
Other notable mentions this year include TransLink which saw a 23% increase in the survey to land it in 24th spot.
The Most Loved Brands study was conducted by Ipsos between February 7 and February 15, 2018.
A total of 1,301 interviews were conducted using an online survey.
