This Saturday’s Monstercat Compound is slated to be one of Vancouver’s most exciting events of the year, offering an amazing array of activations and vendors.
Taking place on Saturday, August 26, you’ll be able to experience gaming, Monstercat music, demonstrations, top notch artists, delicious food, and much more. But what’s really cool is that the event is totally free to attend and it’s an all-ages creative showcase, so everyone can join in on the fun. All you have to do is RSVP online in advance to get your ticket.
To get you pumped up for the event, we’ve listed a few of the things you’ll be able to enjoy.
Dance to the beats of Robotaki, Conro, Grant, and Going Quantium. You can also expect Orri + Friends, Joel West from Groundwerk, and Derrick Vnuk from Leave us Lost.
Roland’s known for its awesome audio capabilities and now you can experience this for yourself by checking out the TR-08 Rhythm Composer, SH-01A Synthesizer, SE-02 Analog Synthesizer, Roland AIRA products, and more. Learn firsthand about Roland Cloud and how it can take your music composition and production to a whole other level. What’s also cool is that there will be experts onsite to show you how it all works.
Have you ever composed live music with your body in a box of light? Well, now you can with the Starburst activation, produced by Tangible Interaction. It’s an amazing music creation and collaborative platform that’s heightened the workflow of modern musicians worldwide. This is a truly interactive display that lets you mix music live with your body.
The Nimbus mobile truck will be rolling into Monstercat Compound complete with an electronic interactive audio station, modular synth, Komplete Kontrol, and Roland TR8 drum machine. Expert instructors and technical engineers will guide you through a hands-on synth-making experience. As an added bonus, Nimbus is giving away one $5000 CAD scholarship to a lucky entrant along with other awesome prizes.
Monstercat’s merch team will be offering special items from its collection like snapbacks and plushies, just to name a few. But what’s really cool is the team’s eco-friendly practices and charity initiatives that go above and beyond what you’d expect. On the day of Compound, the merch team will have a button making station and onsite T-shirt printing with all proceeds going to the charity, Music Heals. And don’t forget that there will be awesome sales.
