This must-try brunch may be the classiest in Kitsilano

While there are a ton of amazing brunch options in Kitsilano, there are only a handful that take things to the next level in terms of classy and elevated mid-morning meal services.

By that we mean serving one-of-a-kind offerings and craft cocktails made with local ingredients, which is something Mission on 4th does quite well.

Fresh flavours of the Pacific Northwest are at the centre of this eatery’s menu, and with dishes like Caramelized French Toast and Benedicts on Buttermilk Biscuits with Dijon Hollandaise, it’s easy to see Mission’s done a good job of putting their own special twist on breakfast classics.

Their Benedicts are currently up for order in three varieties: pork jowl and white wine cabbage, halibut and spinach, and foraged and farmed mushrooms – a benny for every taste and dietary preference.

Patrons who attend this brunch can also find creations like Seared Octopus, a Feature Omelette, Black Pudding on Sourdough with Fried Eggs, and Green Garbanzo Hummus on Sourdough with Fromage Frais and Fried Eggs.

With sides like Bread and Preserves, Housemade Sausage, and Pickled Chili Hushpuppies with Tabasco Butter, this is clearly one brunch you need to try if you haven’t already.

If you’re not going for the food (or even if you are), you’ve got to try this spot for its cocktails. Diners will find a collection of Mission originals and the classics on this list. These include uniquely-named beverages made with local ingredients such as A​ ​Good​ ​Man,​ ​and​ ​Thorough and the stunning Rose Tattoo.
