Police continue search for missing 30-year-old Japanese student

Police in Vancouver are continuing their search for a missing Japanese student.

Natsumi Kogawa, 30, was reported missing by her boyfriend in Vancouver on September 12, 2016.

A Japanese student studying English in Vancouver, Kogawa was last seen in downtown on Wednesday, September 7 and was last in contact with friends on September 8.

She is described by police as an Asian female, 4’11” tall with a slim build, long hair, and brown eyes. She is said to be an experienced traveller and might be carrying a black backpack with her.

A Facebook page has been set up to ask for the public’s help in locating Kogawa. The page is asking for help from would-be volunteers who can assist in the search effort and to hand out fliers with information.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Natsumi Kogawa is asked to contact the Burnaby RCMP at 604-294-7922, or call 911.
