Enjoy today’s warm and sunny weather as it will be the last day of summer-like conditions for the foreseeable future.

Temperatures in Metro Vancouver will be slightly cooler than yesterday, reaching 21°C by the water at Vancouver International Airport and 24°C further inland. The UV index has been set to a high of six.

A low pressure system moving in on Sunday will bring cloud cover, a drop in temperatures to the teens, and a chance of rain. These conditions are closer to normal seasonal values and expected to last throughout the coming week.

Record-breaking warm temperatures in recent weeks has melted much of this past winter’s snowpack. The snow levels in the local mountains are at what they would normally be in June.

Following last year’s drought, water restrictions in the region will begin two weeks early on Sunday, May 15.
