Grey skies and a chance of rain for Metro Vancouver this week

Jun 12 2017, 10:05 pm

Warm temperatures and sunshine will be put on a holding pattern in Metro Vancouver just days ahead of the official start of summer.

According to Environment Canada, the skies over the region will be largely cloud covered, with a chance of rain throughout much of week beginning Tuesday. The likelihood of rainfall intensifies on Wednesday.

Daytime temperature highs will hover between the mid and high teens by the water, with temperatures warming up to the low 20s by the weekend.

But there’s still one more day of sunshine and warmth to enjoy before the region sees continuous grey skies. For today’s forecast, cloud cover should dissipate by early afternoon, and a high of 20°C can be expected.
